GreenBean Insulation LLC was founded in New Orleans, LA in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina by a local, born & bred New Orleanian: Kurt D. Buchert. Although GreenBean began after Katrina, our installers have worked in the foam business for over 10yrs (more experience than our competitors.) Kurt is a graduate of Jesuit High School of New Orleans & LSU (Geaux Tigers) where he majored in Finance & Real Estate. Kurt is an experienced Certified Financial Planner & also has vast experience in home renovations, having renovated 6 classic New Orleans shotgun homes in the Uptown, Mid-City, & Carrollton areas. He therefore has the skills to help our customers analyze the financial return they receive on our service plus give general renovation & construction advice.

Kurt is also a graduate of BioBased Insulation University where he received thorough training in insulation services, cooling & heating systems, and "green" building. He received specialized training tailored to the hot & humid climate of South Louisiana & the Gulf Coast. Kurt has assembled an experienced team of installers who have worked in the industry for many years. Our main crew has over 10 yrs of foam insulation experience. GreenBean pays good American wages & works with local suppliers to keep our dollars reinvested locally.

For large commercial insulation jobs & foam roofing, GreenBean has teamed up with NES Spray Foam & Coatings, one of the nation's largest foam & coating companies, to assist locally in South Louisiana. NES has over 10 mobile spray units that can be called up with GreenBean for any sized job. For commercial & flat roofs, a spray-foam roof with a reflective coating can be a no-brainer. Mark Comarda manages the Baton Rouge, Hammond, & Lafayette areas. He also assists in New Orleans. He is a retired Regional Manager with IBM of 25 yrs & has resided in Baton Rouge for over 20 yrs.
